What’s the difference between UC, AdvancedUC and UC-Xpress?

UC (Basic, Lite, Essentials, Professional) — user-based plans for individual staff. Lite is deskphone-only, Essentials and Professional add full UC features and softphone apps.

AdvancedUC — per-licence PBX for offices built around deskphones, with strong routing and queueing.

UC-Xpress — per-line PBX for shared-handset environments like retail, warehouses and workshops.

Do all UC plans include the mobile or desktop softphone app?

UC Essentials & UC Professional include full mobile and desktop apps as standard.

UC Basic & UC Lite are deskphone-only, ideal for common areas and low-call users.

AdvancedUC offers optional apps for occasional use, and UC-Xpress supports softphones for key staff where needed.

Can I keep my existing phone numbers?

Yes. We can port most landline, VoIP and 13/1300/1800 numbers into your new UC service. Porting times depend on the current carrier, but we manage the entire process and keep you updated.

Can UC replace my existing PBX?

Yes. UC, AdvancedUC and UC-Xpress all provide full PBX features — IVRs, queues, ring groups, night modes and multi-site routing — without on-site PBX hardware to maintain or replace.

Can staff work from home or on the road with UC?

Yes. With Essentials and Professional, staff can answer calls on mobile or desktop apps exactly as if they were in the office.

AdvancedUC and UC-Xpress can also support softphones for key staff who need mobility.

Do your UC solutions support IVRs, queues and call routing?

Yes. All UC platforms (UC, AdvancedUC and UC-Xpress) support IVRs, queues, hunt groups, time-of-day routing, voicemail-to-email and multi-site call flows.

Can we record calls?

Yes. Call recording is available as an add-on across UC Essentials, UC Professional, AdvancedUC and UC-Xpress. PCI-compliant payment recording can also be enabled on suitable plans.

What happens if our nbn™ connection goes down?

UC keeps working as long as you have any internet connection. We can connect your service to backup links such as 4G/5G, Starlink or secondary nbn™ so calls can still be delivered to mobiles, softphones or another site.

Is UC more reliable than a standard phone line?

In most cases, yes. Traditional lines are a single point of failure. UC is cloud-hosted with geographic redundancy, multi-device access and options for internet failover — giving you more ways to stay reachable.

Can we keep our existing handsets?

Often, yes. Many SIP-compatible handsets can be reused. Where it’s not practical, we supply Yealink and Grandstream deskphones, cordless handsets, conference phones and ATAs for fax or older devices.

Do you offer on-site installation and setup?

Yes. We can preconfigure hardware, ship it ready to plug in, or arrange on-site installation including cabling, Wi-Fi and handset rollout.

What is the difference between PAYG and Included Calls?

PAYG (pay as you go) bills calls separately and suits low-call users or backup lines.

Included Calls bundles local, national and mobile calls into a flat monthly fee — ideal for heavier users and predictable billing. Both options are available across UC Essentials, UC Professional, AdvancedUC and UC-Xpress lines.

Do you offer month-to-month plans?

Yes. We offer both month-to-month and 24-month terms. We’ll walk you through the options and recommend what fits best for your business and rollout plans.
